An Unexpected Choice

In a previous post, I asked for ideas to fill the trifle bowl on my new shelves. I was originally leaning toward fruit before I even posted - what goes better in a kitchen than fruit, right?

But then Rachel posted her suggestion for starfish and/or seashells, and I loved it! I love the beach, and the results do indeed look wonderful with my palette. Some of the shells are from our last trip to visit my grandma on Long Island.
