Monday - foundation day! They had it poured by 9AM...

Thursday afternoon - the living space was completely framed out...

This morning - a good portion of the roofline was framed, plus they had started on the exterior wall board! I think the break between the front roofline (the triangle with the white wallboard up) and the higher portion in the back is surreal, almost looks like a trick photo.

I have to say I really feel for these guys - this week, it has been over 100° & today it's supposed to be 107°, with no sign of a break for the upcoming week. I admire these men who work in this kind of extreme weather to support their families.

Holy smokes! That is some serious progress! I can hardly wait to see the finished product. Oh, and yeah, that last photo is a trick on the eyes...pretty cool!
Hey Rebekah!! Glad I finally found your blog. Seeing your foundation made me remember our last church--they had church parishoners all write their favorite Bible verses on it before the building went up. They were building their foundation on Jesus--the Word! It is a wonderful church--the little S. Bapt. one we went to in FL. After seeing all your beautiful designs, I can't wait to see how you decorate your house.
It is so fun watching a house being built. We did it a number of years ago and all of the progress was so exciting!
How exciting Rebekah! Looks great!!
